Travel website flies away with award

SURFERS Paradise-based Experience Oz which runs a website marketing travel and tourism experiences has been recognised at the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards.
The company, based at 46 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise, took out the Tourism, Hospitality and Events category for September.

Experience Oz marketing manager Matt Hobbs said the business had seen continuous growth by maintaining good relationships with tour operator.

"It's important to always be consistent and up-to-date with the latest trends when it comes to providing unique, unforgettable experiences," Mr Hobbs said.  "This approach allows us to build a good rapport and enables people to be drawn towards our service."

Mr Hobbs said as the business started to get more recognition in the industry, it was important it continued to evolve to meet consumer demands.

The award win follows RACQ taking a 50 per cent share in the business earlier this year.

Experience Oz was established 10 years ago. It is marketed as a leading source for travel experiences in Australia and New Zealand.
