ENTRY INFORMATION
 
By participating in the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards, you are providing your organisation and your employees, a unique opportunity to benchmark your performance against other like businesses.   Should you be a winner, then the Awards will provide you with thousands of dollars worth of free advertising & editorial via our Media announcements through our marketing channels, the Gold Coast Bulletin, Gold FM & Sea FM and NBN Television. You will be provided the recognition you so appropriately deserve as well as the opportunity to network with the like-minded business success stories.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

To be eligible to enter the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards you will be required to meet the following conditions of entry:
 
1.   Agree to your business being profiled in the media. The winners may receive publicity through participating media organisations.
 
2.   Applicants can enter online, via email or send a hard copy.  Please use the template provided and the fully completed coversheet which is mandatory 
 
3.   Applicants can enter one or more of the listed categories.  However it is highly recommended that applicants enter a category where they can demonstrate a competitive edge. The Judges may, at their discretion, re-categorise an entry if it is felt appropriate.  (See Award Categories for further details). The Judges decision is final.
 
4.   Applicant’s principle place of business must be within the Gold Coast City Region. 
 
5.   Franchisors residing within the Gold Coast region, as well as individual Franchisees are permitted to enter.
 
6.   Entries must be submitted by the 1st of each month, from May to October. Get your entries in early in the year as unsuccessful entries for a particular month are reconsidered the following months.
 
7.   Entries will be assessed on the following criteria, highlighting the applicant’s commitment to excellence: (Please use the template provided and limit your responses to a maximum of 4 pages)
 
PRIVACY STATEMENT

This information is collected by the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards Association, Inc. Personal information collected will be used for administrative and contact purposes, and will be provided to the judging committee for the purpose of judging this entry. Contact details are provided to major sponsors, media sponsors and major supporters.
 
Personal information will not be used or disclosed of other purposes. You may access this information by contacting us. We cannot accept applications without contact information.
 
Entering the Awards is acknowledgement that you accept these terms & give permission for sponsors to contact you.

CRITERIA TO ADDRESS

Overview of Company and its history
Include details of the Directors and management team, length of time in business, company structure including an organisational chart, customers/target market and number of employees.

Products/Services
Include information on marketing practices and distribution chains.

Management Practices
Include information on staff training and development, incentives, employee share schemes.

Manufacturing Practices (if manufacturing) Customer Service (if retail or in service industry)
If manufacturing include information on any production efficiency measures introduced, eg lean manufacturing etc. as well as any quality and benchmarking initiatives.

Innovation (this may include Research and Development)
Innovation is defined as the multi-stage process whereby organizations transform ideas into new/improved products, service or processes, in order to advance, compete and differentiate themselves successfully in their marketplace. It may include R&D for new products or services or innovative changes in such things as new and improved management practices.

Environmental Practices
Include information on such things as water conservation, waste management, carbon reduction, recycling and “green” initiatives.

Citizenship
Include information on how your company supports your community, this may include sponsorship, charity, volunteering and work experience.

Significant Achievements
Include any Awards or, Government grants received. It should also include reference to exponential growth of the company either in terms of turnover or staff expansion.

Exporting (if applicable)
Only include if relevant to your company. Information should include export markets, export sales and any other relevant information.

Future Plans.
 

TIP:
Enter as early as you can! Entries need to be submitted by the 1st of each month, from May to October, inclusive. (Unsuccessful May entrants are considered in June, those unsuccessful in June are automatically reconsidered in July and so forth).
