Opal Plus is a family run business founded in 1985 with contributions from all members of the family, consisting of parents Wayne and Estela Sedawie and children Mark & Jason. The company has adapted to changing consumer trends in the last few years of buyers purchasing more and more online.

Completely turning its business around from being opal cutters five years ago to running auction sites dealing with opals, gemstones and coins. The Mermaid company sells to 59 countries and sold over $5 million on just two of its websites.
