CyTrack Intelligent Systems

CyTrack is a 20-year-old software developer of contact centre solutions. Owned by Nick Milan, the company's Cloud Contact Centre solutions allow call centre employees to manage customer enquiries and services via phone, email, web chat and social media. CyTrack now has more than 25,000 licensed customers worldwide including Asia, the Middle East, US and Europe. The software is distributed in over 30 countries internationally.

 

Environment and Sustainability Award:

Skyline Landscape Services

Skyline Landscape Services is a recognised leader in the horticultural, landscape and grounds maintenance industry. For over 24 years, Skyline has provided quality, cost-effective services to residential communities, commercial properties and government assets. Established in 1991 by Colin and Chris Richardson, their family-friendly company employs over 300 people and returns millions of dollars to the Gold Coast economy every year.

 

Family Business Award:

Choice Homes

Choice Homes is a is a family owned, multi award-winning building company specialising in turnkey housing packages in South-East Queensland and Mackay. Founded in 1993 by Steve and Gillian Knight, the company is now managed by son Troy Knight and is still owned by the Knight family. Choice Homes now employs employing 65 full-time staff, uses an additional 3800 contractors and suppliers, and builds more than 300 homes per year.

 

Health and Wellbeing Award:

Morlife

Arundel-based Morlife is a functional foods company that provides consumers with specialised foods which contain vast amounts of nutritional value. Functional foods are designed for specific purposes or functions, which leads to better quality lives for consumers. Morlife products are available through major retailers including Woolworths, Coles, Costco, and IGA as well as health food stores. The company, which has 60 employees, exports to 14 countries.

 

Trades, Professions and Services Award:

Gemini Accident Repair Centres

Gemini Accident Repair Centres is a national chain of over 40 high quality crash repair centres dedicated to achieving new standards of excellence. Using latest technologies, environmentally friendly products and a centralised administration in their Gold Coast Support Centre (Head Office), they aim to create a fresh and modern approach to accident repair.

 

Retail, Wholesale and Distribution Award:

Frosty Boy

Frosty Boy Australia, established in 1976, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of dessert and beverage powder-based products. Its flagship product, the Classic Vanilla soft serve ice cream, is found in cafes, convenience stores, quick service restaurants and service stations across the world. The company moved to a new purpose-built, multi-million dollar, 6000 square metre factory at Yatala last year. Frosty Boy now manufactures the equivalent of two million serves of soft serve ice cream per day and it exports to 48 countries.

 

Manufacturing and Construction Award:

Superior Jetties

Superior Jetties manufactures high quality marine, industrial flotation and ancillary products. Superior is not only a market leader for marine berthing applications, but also a trusted and respected supplier of flotation to the resources sector. Superior has focused on becoming a design-led company that undertakes research and development to improve current products and develop new products that incorporate innovative and professional design features.

 

Knowledge Management and IT Award:

ThoughtWare

Software developer ThoughtWare owns, develops and supports software solutions and services under the brand "i.on my". The software is an evidence-based Governance, Risk Management, Compliance (GRC) platform that is used in a range of industries but particularly in the Health and Care industries. Today more than 40,000 people are under the watchful eye of i.on my care across 71 sites, across Australia and in New Zealand.

 

Tourism, Hospitality and Events Award:

iVvy

iVvy has developed a cloud-based event management software. Thousands of people in nine countries use iVvy's software to manage every part of their events. iVvy's target customers include everyone who manages events, including small event organisers, associations, governments and large corporates. This year, iVvy launched a new product called "iVvy Marketplace", which is the world's first booking platform for the events industry, enabling event organisers to search, compare, book and pay for function spaces, group accommodation and food and beverages instantly.

 

Emerging Business Award:

Close Encounter Dredging

Close Encounter Dredging is a Gold Coast-based dredging company which specialises in canal maintenance throughout local waterways and islands. The business was started in 2012 by Steve Close, a qualified Dredge Master with more than over 17 years' experience operating vessels. Their dredge is equipped to provide all sand dredging services including deepening boat moorings under and around pontoons and jetties and restoring and maintaining sandy beaches on waterfront properties.
