The company behind the fit-out for the Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Rolex stores at Pacific Fair has built on its amazing run of successes with an award win.

Shop fitting and cabinet making business Projects Queensland won the Manufacturing and Construction category of the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards for October.

The company is now among 60 Gold Coast companies vying to be named the Gold Coast Business of the Year at next month's annual awards celebration at Jupiters Hotel and Casino.
Projects Queensland, now in its 27th year, has experienced major growth over the past five years. The company has completed work on a range of luxury residential homes, global retail boutiques, aged care facilities, schools, restaurants and universities.

General Manager, Manuel Pena said the fitout of six boutiques for global clients like Gucci and Tiffany & Co at the $670 million revitalisation of Pacific Fair was indicative of the company's capacity.

"The Coast is now more than just being a tourist destination and for apartment construction,'' Mr Pena said.

"The growth of high quality schools like Emmanuel and Somerset Colleges, TSS, St Hilda's and the AITC has been incredible and the fact we have three universities is a testament to the positive change taking place."

Mr Pena said the company was committed to growing the business further.

He said the growth plans had been assisted by the introduction of new technology, new quoting procedures and internal management systems.

Company founder and managing director Brad Dunne said the business was set to take advantage of the continued growth of retail luxury brands in Australia and to explore other opportunities as
they arose.
