SEE Group sees off the opposition to win award

Civil construction company SEE Group is building a stronger reputation after winning a major business award.

The Gold Coast company, which was established in 1988 and now employs 240 people, has won the Gold Coast Business Excellence Award for Construction and Trades for August.

Company director Mark Turner and marketing advisor Jacqui Allen were presented with the award at a packed ceremony held at Bond University's Business School.

The SEE Group counts all three levels of government as clients and has been involved with the expansion of the M1 and the Gold Coast Airport.

The company has also worked on some of the city's largest residential and commercial developments including Pacific Pines, the Coomera Town Centre and the Empire business park at Yatala.

Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards president Ian Cousins said SEE Group were a deserving winner of the award.

"SEE Group are a leader in their field and they can proudly say they are among the best of the best in Australia,'' said Mr Cousins.

"Our awards are about recognising the achievements of Gold Coast businesses like SEE."

In the other categories, Powertec Technologies won the Mayor's Innovation Award, Glass Media Group won the Student Employability Award, light rail operator Keolis Downer Gold Coast won Professions and Business Services, John Henderson Real Estate won the Family Business Award, Back In Motion won the Health and Wellbeing Award, the Manufacturing Award went to Brauer Industries, Maxsoft took out the IT and Digital Business Award, Tourism Hospitality went to Fish the Deep Charters, the Retail, Wholesale and Distribution Award went to Totally Workwear and the Emerging Business Award went to CartonCloud.
