Granddad Jack's Craft Distillery
Grandad Jack's Craft Distillery is a multi-award-winning craft distiller of premium spirits. Found by Luke and David Ridden two years ago, the Miami-based distillery is named in honour of their grandfather. The small batch distillery creates spirits including Gin, Vodka, Whiskey and Coffee Liqueur. This year the company sent its first orders to the UK and USA, only for both importers to cancel the orders because of COVID-19.

Family Business

AlphaFit
AlphaFit is a Molendinar headquarter manufacturer and distributor of fitness equipment. Established in 2013 by Gold Coast brothers Jamie and Bobby Montesalvo, the company has enjoyed steady growth in the B2B market and in recent times experienced strong growth in the home gym market. This has led the company to increase staff numbers 30% in 2020.

Retail, Wholesale and Distribution

JSW Powersports
JSW Powersports is the largest watercraft dealer in Australia and has been the number one Sea-Doo personal watercraft dealer in the world for the past nine years. JSW Powersports is also the Australian distributor of Sea Fox Boats and is the Gold Coast's only authorised Malibu and Axis boat dealers. JSW Powersports has recently added to its existing Can-Am line up to include Can-Am on-road vehicles and buggies.

Condev Construction
Condev Construction is one of the most prominent and prolific construction companies in South East Queensland and it is now starting to expand nationally. In 2020, Condev started its first two projects in Victoria. Condev, which was founded in 2002 by Steve and Tracy Marais, now employs more than 100 staff and now has 24 projects under construction.

Brauer Industries
Brauer Industries, which was set up in 1998, is now Australia's leader in Air and Water Purification. The company manufactures Ozone-based technologies for both Commercial and residential applications. Brauer Industries has produced, patented and proven the effectiveness of their ozone technology across a large portfolio of products in many industries and are heavily invested in research and development.

Orbitz Elevators
Orbitz Elevators supplies, installs, maintains, repairs and modernises elevators and moving walkways throughout Australia and overseas. The company was established by Jonathan Dwayre with a credit card, a van and a dream in November 2014. The business now employs 87 people with the head office on the Gold Coast, five other branches throughout Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Morlife
Arundel-based Morlife is a functional foods company that manufactures specialised foods which contain vast amounts of nutritional value. Their functional foods are designed for specific purposes, which leads to better quality lives for consumers. Morlife products are available through major retailers including Woolworths, Coles, Costco, and IGA as well as health food stores. The company, which has 49 employees, exports to Asia and the Middle East.

IT and Digital Business

onPlatinum ICT
onPlatinum ICT is a Gold Coast owned and operated Managed Services Provider, with multimillion-dollar infrastructure and sustainable growth since 2012. onPlatinum offer a single point of contact for their clients' ICT needs IT, security, consultancy, communications and print. In 2020 onPlatinum realised their ambitious growth target set in 2019, doubling their business in three years by expanding into Sydney.

Student Employability

Sea World Cruises
The Sea World Cruises team founded marine tourism and whale watching on the Gold Coast. They offer year-round experiences, including Sightseeing and Dining Cruises, Whale Watching, Events and Charters.  The company is in a high growth phase, and is a part of the Tour Collective Group, which also operates Hopo Gold Coast Ferry. With over 85 employees they have five school-based trainees and a Marine Academy for developing the next generation of crew and skippers for their 7 vessels.

Pivotel
Pivotel is an Australian owned and operated telecommunications business with a focus on rural, remote and critical communications solutions. Based in Southport, Pivotel is one of just four mobile telecommunications network providers in Australia. The company has an international network of more than 250 dealers and now has close to 150 employees.
