As one of the Gold Coast's oldest families, the Neumann Family have a long history intertwined with the City. 1948 saw the birth of The Neumann Group, what has now become a large and multifaceted organisation still based on the Gold Coast.
Robert Neumann, one of the founding fathers of the Neumann Group, was the Mayor of the Gold Coast from 1973 to 1976.
Much of the city has been built in some way or the other by The Neumann Group of Companies. Whether it be canals dredged by Neumann Contractors, steel in our high-rises by Neumann Steel, concrete and quarry products in our infrastructure by Nucrush Group, or land being developed by Neumann Developments.
A lot of the work done by The Neumann Group goes unseen, but rest assured it is there and it has shaped the Gold Coast we know and love today.
Family owned and operated, the Neumann Group retains a 'people first' philosophy, demonstrating the true family nature at the heart of the companies, and a dedication to supporting the local community.
"Winning the annual Family Business Award was an amazing highlight for us last year and we saw the direct benefits of being part of the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards. When asked if we would like to sponsor the manufacturing award, it was a no-brainer and we are beyond excited to share this opportunity with the Group of Companies."
The Neumann Group wanted to be part of promoting industrial innovation and advanced manufacturing. Sponsoring the Manufacturing Award at the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards is the perfect way to support this and the local business community.
Being local manufacturers themselves, the Neumann Group wanted to do something to support the reinvigoration of Australian manufacturing, especially on the Gold Coast.
"We believe that building a strong local manufacturing hub is the best way to develop and retain the skills necessary to facilitate industrial innovation on the Gold Coast."
