Simtech Creations Wins Innovation Award

Gold Coast-based Simtech Creations, which supplies LED displays to casinos and resorts around the world, has won an innovation award.

Simtech was named the June winner of the innovation category at the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards held at KPMG on Wednesday night.

General manager Daniel Egar said the company, which was originally named Signs In Motion, was always looking for new ways to manufacture signage and displays to help attract and retain customers.

The company now has offices in Macau, Singapore and the USA, as well as its 9000sqm purpose-built facility at Yatala.

Its clients including gaming and resort giants such as Aristocrat, Konami, Las VegasSands, Melco, Wynn, Crown Resorts, The Star Entertainment Group and Skycity Resorts.

Mr Egar said Simtech offered clients every aspect of custom LED display creation starting with the designs through to full installation services around the world.

“Our products are proudly showcased in casinos, hotels, entertainment, leisure, public and shopping destinations all over the globe,’’ he said.

Mr Egar said Simtech, which now has close to 100 global employees, was investing heavily in research and development.

“We have four full-time employees who are purely dedicated to inventing the next type of visual technologies that we can use in the business,’’ he said.

“Recently we have been developing new visual technologies to assist in the growth within sport, commercial, retail and transport markets.

“These products include transparent LED, LED technology for sports and interactive LED walls for kids’ games.”

After its award win Simtech is now in the running to claim the Gold Coast Business of the Year title in November.
