Shepherd Filters manufactures and sells disposable kitchen grease filters that help restaurants reduce cleaning costs and their potential fire risk. The company is the brainchild of Jeremy Kronk, who researched the concept while recovering from third degree burns to 52% of his body. Shepherd Filters are made from 100% wool, are naturally flame resistant, are biodegradable and renewable.
Neumann Steel
Neumann Steel was established in 1970 and now has more than 230 employees at its five locations. Its product range includes steel reinforcing mesh, specialty bar products, prefabrication services, precision engineering, injection moulding and fleet transportation. Neumann Steel is part of the Neumann Group, which was started by Robert Neumann. The Neumann family have been in business on the Gold Coast since 1922.
Macro Mike
Former bodybuilding competitor Mike Kellett started his health food business Macro Mike three years ago in his one-bedroom apartment. The company has now three Gold Coast premises including a state-of-the-art production facility, a range of more than 50 products that are sold nationally and internationally, and annual sales of more than $6 million.

Dynamic Hydro Excavations is the market leader in using high-pressure water and high-volume wet vacuum as an alternate method to traditional earthmoving techniques. The company performs traditional earthmoving, CCTV pipe inspections, service locating, street sweeping and numerous specialised services in the civil and construction industry. Established in 2003 by Gold Coast local Andrew Smith, the company now employs 130 people and is now looking for export opportunities.
GCD Exhibitions
GCD is a family owned company that traditionally builds custom exhibition displays. But after COVID-19 hit and revenues fell to zero, the company pivoted into a new specially area. The company now manufactures hygienic barriers and sneeze guards, supplies COVID-19 signage and graphics, barriers to keep social distancing in place and a wide range of COVD-19 supplies for businesses.

MWM is an emerging mid-tier accounting firm that provides strategic accounting and advisory support with a holistic approach to each client. In just five years Grassports has gone from having no presence in Queensland to now holding a large share of the market.
