Surf City Cranes was established in 2006 by Jon and Sharon Morrish with just one just crane. The company now has a fleet of more than 20 vehicles and various depots from Brisbane to Northern New South Wales. Surf City Cranes provides labour hire, truck hire and traffic control services.
Shepherd Filters
Shepherd Filters manufactures and sells disposable kitchen grease filters that capture up to 98% of airborne grease before it enters restaurant kitchen exhaust systems. The company is the brainchild of Jeremy Kronk, who researched the concept while recovering from third degree burns to 52% of his body. Proudly Australian made, Shepherd Filters now counts McDonald's, Village Roadshow Theme Parks and Dreamworld as clients.

Dan the Sparky Man
Dan the Sparky Man provides electrical services to builders, small-scale developers and homeowners. Dan Carpenter first started an electrical business in Adelaide as a sole trader and then moved to the Gold Coast with wife Kelly after travelling throughout Australia. Established in 2006, Dan the Sparky Man was originally headquartered in the couple's dining room but has now operates from a factory in Burleigh with 13 employees.
Gilmour Space Technologies
Gilmour Space Technologies is a world-leading hybrid rocket propulsion company based on the Gold Coast. Founded in 2013, the company now has more than 70 employees working towards it goal of launching commercial and defence satellites into low Earth orbits from 2022. Led by three members of the Gilmour family, Gilmour Space Technologies is the largest venture-capital-backed space company in Australia.
Hopo Ferry
Hopo Ferry is the Gold Coast's first ferry service that targets locals and visitors to the city. Having now carried over 65,000 passengers along the beautiful Nerang River and the Broadwater, Hopo Ferry is a privately funded ferry service that operates 7 days a week. In consultation with the City of Gold Coast, the ferry service is planning on expanding with additional vessel and stops.
